Abstract

The ancient land highway, which was named "Silk" at the end of the modern centuries, has a legacy of more than two millennia of role-playing among important centers of civilization in the world. At the beginning of the modern centuries, such a function was gradually transformed, and as a result, the lands (according to their geography) whose prosperity depended on it for centuries, did so. What made road changes in the geopolitics of Central Asia a problem for research, In addition to the different position of it as a focal point and enclosed land of the Silk Road, was researchers disagreement about the "decline" or "continuity of the glory" of these two. In this article, by entering into this scientific challenge, by adopting a qualitative research method, and using the historical analysis approach, We discussed, what were the factors influencing the the Silk Road in Central Asia? Our hypothesis is that " the emergence of powers within Eurasia and at the transcontinental level led to the formation of new exchange paths, changes in events and political and cultural hegemony, and ultimately changed the nature of the Silk Road" . As a result of the study, we came to the point that although the above changes provided new economic and cultural opportunities to Central Asia, in parallel with the internal events, they intensified the increasing influence of Russia and ultimately marked its military dominance.
