Abstract
Today, from Iran's point of view, China is the most important strategic collaborator with geopolitical relations in the Asia-Pacific region. Although Iran and China have always had positive and constructive relations in the political, geo-economic and geo-strategic dimensions during the last decade, however, the withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA has affected Iran's relations with China, and this country has become more cautious in its relations. In spite of the fact that the relations between Iran and China have become closer in the last four decades and Beijing has been prominent as one of Iran's geo-economic partners in recent years, the geopolitical relations between the two countries during the last decade have been asymmetric, becoming one-sided and completely in the direction of China's national interests. For China, Iran is not considered to be a role-playing and strategic geopolitical reality and capacity considering China's global and regional position. In 2021, Iran and China signed a 25-year "strategic cooperation agreement" to deepen economic, political and security relations. However, Under the behavior of the USA toward the two countries, this arrangement has not found a significant manifestation in Iran.
