Globalization and National Identity (Case Study: Students of State Universities in Tehran)

Abstract

The main goal of this paper is to see the impact of globalization on national identity of the Iranian students in states universities in Tehran. 382 students (%53 male and %47 female) randomly selected to take part in the survey and fill out the questionnaire. The questionnaire was analyzed by statistical applications such as SPSS. The result show that the spread of globalization processes in the form of information and communication technology such as satellite TV and the internet have paved the way for fortifying the sub national identity of university students in Tehran.
