چکیده
Political elites are influential actors in shaping the political, economic, and social trajectories of nations, particularly in the sensitive and complex contexts of post-conflict societies. These elites possess the power and resources necessary to guide national reconciliation processes, implement reforms, and promote societal integration among divided communities. In the post-conflict phase, societies often face deep divisions, social fragmentation, and a sense of distrust among social groups. These divisions, if left unaddressed, can undermine societal integration efforts, reignite cycles of violence, and hinder national unity. Here, the role of political elites becomes pivotal and crucial in achieving integration. They are responsible for crafting inclusive public policies that strengthen national unity, ensuring the representation of different social groups in governance structures, and rebuilding institutions. This article examines the impact of political elites on achieving societal integration, using a descriptive methodology. The main objective is to clarify the roles played by political elites in achieving societal integration during the post-conflict phase to create social stability and achieve development and prosperity for societies.
