The national security strategy of the United States has historically oscillated between two attitudes of isolationism and internationalism, taking into account fixed goals, economic capacity, natural resources, geographical location, physical security, and the expansion of its values. The 2022 National Security Strategy document is an important part of this trend, highlighting the political, security, commercial, economic, technological, and geopolitical relations between the United States, Russia, and their respective allies during at least one presidential term. During the Biden administration, the United States' national security strategy has primarily focused on Russia's geopolitical challenges, including its war against Ukraine and its competition with the United States and the West. This research analyzes the challenges and geopolitical competition between the United States and Russia in different dimensions and areas. Given America's extreme concern about Russia's geopolitical challenges and competition in geostrategic territories and geopolitical regions of the world, addressing Russia's behavior in the country's national security strategy is inevitable. The research method is descriptive-analytical, using documentary and library data and information. The findings show that based on the two strategic documents of the United States and the NATO alliance, the United States has entered a new challenge and geopolitical competition with Russia, which will shape the new geopolitical structure of the world system and new world politics. The international system will reach relative stability in geopolitical territories and regions from the state of geopolitical transition
