The subject of this research is the investigation and analysis of geocultural foundations and outputs influencing the national security policy of Iran during the transition period of the international system. The theoretical framework of this research is constructivist theory and its central signifier is identity.
Since it is the central sign of the constructivist theory of culture and identity, in order to understand and analyze the national security policy of Iran during the transition period of the international system, it is necessary to correctly explain and explain the Iranian geocultural (cultural identity) resources in order to be able to understand correctly. From the country's national security policy, he achieved the right policy to achieve the geopolitical weight and the position befitting the material and spiritual capabilities of the country in the upcoming world order.
In this regard, three basic steps have been taken in order to explain the factors of Iranian geoculture (cultural identity):
In the first step, the basics of Iranian geoculture (religion, history and geography) have been discussed. In the next step, Iranian cultural-identity layers include: 1- ancient Iranian cultural-identity layer, 2- Islamic Iranian cultural-identity layer, 3- modern cultural-identity layer and 4- Islamic Revolution cultural-identity layer, which is the foundation of culture and Iranian identity has been explained. In the final step, the Iranian cultural-identity outputs that originate from the cultural-identity foundations and have been established in the context of cultural-identity layers and have gained political weight as geocultural components.
